At Hutter Home Theater, we’ve been serving homeowners across the Seattle–Tacoma area for over 15 years, designing and installing custom theaters, smart lighting and shading, whole-home audio, networking, and security solutions. Founder David Hutter brings more than 25 years of experience in the audio, video, and smart technology industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Washington and worked in IT for 6.5 years, including 3 years as a network designer with Cisco CCNA certification. David also enrolled in the SANS Institute’s Master’s in Cybersecurity program, where he earned additional (GSEC & GCIH) certifications and authored the research paper “Physical Security and Why It’s Important.”

What sets David apart is his rare ability to bridge both electrical and low-voltage disciplines. This means he understands how high-voltage electrical systems and low-voltage technology must work together safely and seamlessly — a perspective few integrators can offer. Combined with his IT and cybersecurity background, David has a deep understanding of today’s challenges, from achieving rock-solid Wi-Fi coverage to ensuring network resilience, data privacy, and physical security.
